One way Burlington Electric says thank you to
its employees is by passing along DSG incentives.
“Everything from gift cards to jackets, hunting
equipment to shirts, gets passed on to my crew,”
says Fimrite. “Instead of keeping it myself, I use
them as a way to say thanks for their hard work.”
Burlington Electric crew members also head
over to DSG for what Fimrite calls “Weenie
Wednesdays,” where they can grab lunch for free
and get caught up on the latest in industry news.
Even better, many participate in special events
sponsored by DSG, including golf outings on
area courses.
Burlington Electric’s focus on its employees’
happiness has allowed it to retain a number of
long-time employees. Many of the crew have been
with the company for more than a decade, and
it is very efficient at turning new employees into
key ones. This isn’t lost on customers, who value
the consistency, commitment and experience
long-term employees bring to their jobs.
Throughout 2008, Burlington Electric has
worked on a number of high-profile projects.
For example, they completed all the wiring
for Up The Creek and Space Aliens, as well as
for the innovative new home of the owner of
both restaurants.

Currently, they’re in the process of laying conduit
at a number of job sites, including Gooseneck
Implement in Stanley, ND; Pure Honda, Buffalo
Wild Wings and an 18-unit apartment building in
Minot, ND; and grain elevators in both Berthold,
ND, and Plaza, ND.
About 70 percent of Burlington Electric’s
business is commercial, and approximately 30
