Panel Assembler, Sioux Falls
John DeYonge enjoys working. “I consider
myself to be a bit of a workaholic,” he says.
Where some might consider that to be a
negative description, it’s nothing but good
news for DSG and its customers.
DeYonge recently joined DSG in
October of 2007 as an assembler in the
Sioux Falls panel shop. If you were
to visit him on the job, you would find
him creating electrical assemblies
of customer designs and
schematics for numerous
projects, from lift station
controls for wastewater
systems to electrical
pump controls for
dairy barns. He
definitely does his
part to help DSG
customers perform
their jobs easier and
run their operations
more efficiently.
No matter what project he’s working on,
DeYonge is always happy to be at work. “I think
what I do is fun,” smiles DeYonge. “I love taking
a project from the beginning – starting with our
customer’s idea, then helping to design it and
finally bringing it to life, just the way the
customer pictured it.
DeYonge is new to DSG, but he’s no
stranger to the automation industry. With
more than 20 years of experience and a
degree in electronics (as well as one in
computer information services) from
the National American University
(formerly known as the National College
of Rapid City), he knows a thing or two
about automation controls.
What DeYonge might not
have known is how much
he would enjoy working
at DSG. “Everyone on
the automation team is
so involved,” DeYonge
explains. “It’s great to
work at a place
where everyone
shares the same
personal interest
in the quality of
the products that we
put in our customers’

hand. We spend a lot of time with our customers
throughout the entire project in order to
ensure that we meet their expectations and
requirements 100 percent.”
With a job that he adores and a work
environment that he loves, DeYonge doesn’t
seem to be slowing down anytime soon.
