DSG Metering Technology is welcoming two
new faces to the group. However, these faces are
by no means new to DSG. Cary Logan and Craig
Pratt are becoming a part of DSG Metering
Technology. They join Matt Willis to form an
expert core of support for DSG’s metering
customers. Even though this transition involves
some changes, DSG’s utility and metering
customers can expect the same great service
they’ve come to know and value.
For those who don’t recognize the name, Cary
Logan works out of the Sioux Falls, South Dakota
branch and has been with DSG since 1990. With
just under 20 years of experience in electric
metering, he’s built a reputation as the go-to guy
for anything and everything involving electric
meters. “My job is metering,” says Logan.
“It’s all I do.”
Craig Pratt has been with DSG since
September of 2006 and works out of the Fargo,
North Dakota branch. Before joining DSG, he
worked as a controls engineer for ten years.
Like Logan, his day involves programming
meters, handling technical issues and answering
the installation questions of customers. “When it
comes to metering, we want our customers to see
us as the experts,” says Pratt. “In return, we aim
to do everything we can to earn that respect.”
Matt Willis
Craig Pratt
In the coming months, Pratt and Logan will
share their electric metering expertise with Matt
Willis (who’s been DSG Metering Technology’s
problem solver since 2002), and Willis will
share his water and gas metering knowledge with
them. By utilizing their shared experience (as
well as intensive hands-on training), the three
men will form a cohesive support team for DSG
Metering Technology in electric, water and gas
metering systems. “A lot of our customers are
combination utilities,” says Willis. “We are
thrilled to be able to provide them with even
more support for their entire metering systems.”
With the addition of Logan and Pratt to
DSG Metering Technology also comes the
addition of GE electric meters. GE is a staple of
electric metering. “GE has been GE forever,” says
Logan. “That means stability for the industry.
Customers don’t have to worry about changes in
standards and accuracy, because the company
isn’t going anywhere.”
As far as Logan, Pratt and Willis are concerned,
everyone is very excited about what the future
holds. More importantly, they all agree that
as DSG Metering Technology moves forward
and new opportunities evolve, customers will
be able to count on the same expert service and
support they’ve always enjoyed from DSG.
