Say Hello To Dave Abrahamson
Mechanical/Plumbing Manager, Alexandria
Dave Abrahamson is no stranger to Minnesota,
and with more than four decades of experience,
he’s definitely no stranger to the mechanical
(HVAC and plumbing) industry. As the
mechanical/plumbing manager at DSG’s
Alexandria branch, he spends his time
finding solutions for commercial and
residential customers, particularly on the
HVAC end of things. You’ll also often
find Abrahamson at other DSG branches
in Minnesota, helping to set
up inventories and bringing
staff up to speed on new
mechanical products.
A St. Peter, MN native,
Abrahamson started with
DSG in 1988 and
has been with the
company ever since.
“I appreciate the size and the diversity of the
company,” says Abrahamson. “We carry many
different products, and that gives us the
capability to ensure we get our customers exactly
what they’re looking for. We’re able to have
solutions and products available and ready,
which makes everyone’s job easier.”
One of the products that Abrahamson often
deals with is geothermal heating systems. These
highly efficient, ground-source heating and
cooling systems utilize underground piping
buried beneath the earth to access a constant
and infinite source of energy. “These
systems are becoming more and more
popular,” Abrahamson says. “As soon
as homeowners hear about how
much money they can save with one
of these, they want one right away.”
Overall, Abrahamson has always
enjoyed the technical aspect
of his job. He likes working
with controls, and he enjoys
helping contractors to
design and wire commercial
systems. Most of
all, though, he gets a
kick out of working
with his customers
