Dakota Supply Group - IndexDakota Supply Group - dakotaoctober - IndexMy specialty is filters. I know a lot about them,
from how they’re made to how they work to how
customers should use them. A lot of my life is
spent helping customers identify ways to filter
better and more efficiently. I do this for all types
of applications – from air to water to process to
hydraulic. I even filter out some things that I hear.
You know, things like TV commercials, radio ads
and Hollywood people telling me how I should
live. I filter it out. I think most of us do this kind
DSG Filtration
of “mental filtration.” My wife says I never listen – I
think it’s “mental filtration” at work.
So what about this whole “green movement”?
Should your mental filter allow you to take it
seriously? Take “green buildings,” for example.
You can argue the science, you may question
motives, you may even cry “politics,” but the
advent of the LEED ® Green Building Ratings
System TM shows that we need to listen. Is “sick
building syndrome” real? The lawsuits involving
it are real. Is “going green” really necessary? The
reality of today’s world appears to point us in that
direction. Whether you and I agree with the green
movement or not, we need our mental filter to
allow us to listen.
DSG and our partner Filtration Group, Inc.,
are listening. I know firsthand how much more
efficiently industry runs with good filtration.
Research shows that employees work better with
cleaner air. Simply updating your company’s
filtration plan can go a long way toward satisfying
LEED requirements. One of the best things about
my job is that improved filtration can be such an
easy answer to so many problems, and it can almost
always save you money in the long run. Filtration
Group’s innovative new GeoPleat and MERV 13
Green Pleat products prove it (you can read more
about them in this issue).
It’s time to find out for yourself. It’s time to put
the power of good filtration to work.
